We were reaching our ramen limit at this point but tsukumen was one of the things I really wanted to try. So we rolled up our sleeves, sucked in our tummy and made our way to Menya Musashi. Spoilers but this was probably C’s most favourite ramen dish out of the whole trip and we did eat soooo much ramen.
Tsukemen is dipping noddles where you dip your noodles into the broth and slurp that tastiness up (slurping surprisingly does make it taste better). Noodles were cooked perfectly with it being a bit firm with each bite. The soup was salty with a slight fishy, unami flavour that was very flavourful. Paired with marinated pork that was soft and fell apart easily as well as a runny, just cooked eggs – might I add that these eggs were perfect and everything I want in a ramen egg.
Look at that golden perfection – runny!
Cheapish feed that fills you up and tsukemen that is super tasty! Would I come back? Yes, yes I would.
