Sir Cafe has been around for a while with a store located on Rundle St and now one in Gouger St. Their signature and most popular dish is the honey toast which is a hollowed out loaf of bread that is filled with cubes of toast that’s brushed in honey.
So what did the snicker’s honey toast taste like? It felt like eating breakfast with thick peanut butter smeared onto crispy honey toast. The top layer was comparably nicer with ice cream, custard and drizzles of chocolate helped to make it less breakfast-like. However, the cream, chocolate and icecream did taste like it’s the generic supermarket kind so that didn’t help tie things together.
Maybe the other flavours taste better and less breakfast without the peanut butter. I probably won’t be returning but it was good to try once – at least I know what it tastes like.
