C and I had been eyeing Carnevale’s lunch menu for a while after they got their kitchen redone. On a lazy Sunday lunch we finally made time to try out more of this beauty.
Well guys, they have a new menu and it looks super awesome … especially this San Francisco Crab Melt (just look at this baby!) Shreds of crab meat topped with gooey swiss and cheddar cheese that was so mouth watering good. Slices of tomato on top of the toasted sourdough gave a freshness to each bite. Who could forget the spring onion aioli that tied this whole thing together?

C was wanting to get The Greek Burger again from our first visit but with the change in menu the closes was The Omega. The burger was filled with a beef patty, greek fetta, tzatziki, tomato, onion and lettuce where the tangy tzatziki really made it what it was. This would probably be better with a lamb patty which we’ll need to try again sometime :) Also I’m going to rave about these awesome chips once more. I think they’ve been deep fried at least twice to give that earth shattering crunch which breaks into a hot, delicious potato center.

On another visit I tried The Philly which had thinly sliced pieces of roast beef – THIS is how you do a steak sandwich. The torpedo roll was filled with a tasty combination of sauteed onions, capsicum, mushrooms covered in a homemade 3 cheese sauce.
