After reading Playing House’s post and finding out Creperie Bruxelles are the same guys behind the Adelaide Famous Poffertjes stand which by the way I have been eating at since I was in high school – I needed to go badly. So what exactly is a poffertjes? Basically they are tiny dutch pancakes and you can get these babies served with cream, butter, lemon, rum butter, Bruxelles syrup and/or Cointreau syrup. For the indecisive souls – there is no limit on how many of these options you can get huzzah!
The soft, fluffy poffertjes were cooked to a crispy outer layer. Do not forget to squeeze the tangy lemon, pour the sweet popcorn Bruxelles syurp and dunk that little piece of heaven into the sweet thick cream as this is what really brings it all together. Each element by itself was perfect – I ate all the cream from the plate even when I finished the poffertjes and I could probably drink that Bruxelles syrup if my family wouldn’t disown me from the shame.
The crepe chocopasta had chocolate hazelnut (tasted a lot like nutella) drizzeled inside and on top of the crepes with icing sugar dusted on top. The crepe itself was soggy from the hazelnut spread drenched in – too moist and gooey.

Anyone else keen for round 2 at Creperie Bruxelles? I know I am! It’s great we can pop in anytime to get our hands on the poffertjes instead of waiting for the stand to show itself
Food: 3.5/5 – absolutely lovely poffertjes
