Sneaky Pickle, Adelaide

Hooray that Sneaky Pickle is back! I’ve been missing their gob smackingly delicious fried pickles. On top of that they brought some new items onto their menu – Philly Cheesesteak and Chilli Beef Tortilla Salad. Sneaky Pickle

Initially I was going for the tortilla salad but a last 5 second swap landed me with a Philly Cheesesteak. Not a single regret was given – thinly sliced smoked steak with gooey provolone cheese in a roll. Of course what is steak without some veggies – lovely earthy mushrooms, crunchy capsicum and sauteed onions were found in the mix. Who would have guessed – a giant pickle stared at me when I went to pick it up.

Philly Cheesesteak

Fried pickles – I didn’t even know I liked pickles until I tried these babies. Deep fried crunch of sour heaven. Trust me on this one – it’s definitely not as strange as it sounds! Unless you don’t like pickles, nothing much I can say to convince you.

Deep Fried pickles

Shirmp po boy was actually the first thing I tried and look at the size of this baby for $10. A roll filled with deep fried shrimp and lettuce, with a squeeze of lemon drizzled in. One thing I need to warn you about is having to press down firmly to force the shrimp into the roll, otherwise you would end up a sad panda like me with shrimp falling everywhere.

Yummy affordable food in great locations around the CBD. Sneaky Pickle is perfect for lunch outside with a few more rays of sunshine before winter finally sets in. Highly recommended – one of my favourite food trucks :)

Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Atmosphere: N/A – sat outside on the grass in sunshine :)
